Windows, Linux and QNX data integration
We make it easy for you to integrate data from programs running in Windows, Linux and QNX. The Cascade DataHub is available for all of these operating systems and allows easy integration of data across a network or the Internet.

Mirroring Cascade DataHubs
This example shows how you can connect two DataHubs across a network to connect program on different operating systems. In this example, we are connecting between a Linux application and a Windows application. This link is fully bi-directional.

  • You can use Cascade DataHub in Windows to link programs to a DataHub running in QNX or Linux.
  • You may choose to mirror data between Cascade DataHubs running in Windows and Linux and QNX.
  • You can also connect Linux programs to QNX programs, without going through a Windows computer.
In summary:
  • Native DataHub support in Windows, Linux and QNX.
  • DDE and TCP interfaces in Windows. For OPC to Linux and QNX, see OPC DataHub for more details.
  • Cascade DataHub can link directly to a DataHub running on a Linux or QNX computer.
  • Data mirroring between Windows, Linux and QNX based DataHubs.
  • Fully bi-direction real-time data links.
  • No limit on the number of Windows, Linux or QNX clients.
  • Provide Linux and QNX access to Windows based drivers and OPC Servers. See OPC DataHub for more details.
  • All client connections are local to the client computer making them much more reliable and easier to configure.
  • Connections can come and go without affecting other clients.
  • The Cascade DataHub handles a network break and reconnect automatically.
  • Works across the Internet in just the same way it works across your network.
